Mining is a system in which you can get yourself a pickaxe and try your luck with digging up some ores.
Ores can be melted into bars of different metals that are later used for crafting
To start your adventure as a miner, you need to obtain your first pickaxe. In order to do that, you will have to complete a straightforward mission.
Miner Jay is the one where you start it.
To mine ores use your pickaxe on veins.

To check progress of your mining rank you have to visit Miner Jay or Miner Jackson. Jackson will also introduce Smelting System to you (required level 80).
